Tech nerds (like me) are notorious for constantly switching productivity apps.
We invest a lot of time into setting up a new app, transferring data, and learning how to use it. A few months later, just when we’re getting comfortable with it, a new app comes along, and we start the process all over again.
I joined hosts Tom Anderson and Jeff Battersby on their Basic AF Podcast a couple of months ago to discuss When You Should (and Shouldn’t) Switch Productivity Apps.
This discussion was based on a blog post I’d written for Original Mac Guy, titled A Very Nerdy Christmas: Evaluate Your Tech Stack.
Tom and Jeff made me feel welcome and relaxed. I appreciated them asking me great questions. I also had fun talking with them, which is a big plus! I subscribe to their podcast; if you’re interested in all things Apple, I’d encourage you to do so also.
One of the hosts, Tom Anderson, publishes an excellent newsletter, Apple Talk. I subscribe to it and learn something new each issue.
Tom includes his take on the new system and app features, new products, reader polls, and a selection of Apple news articles from different sources. With his newsletter, I’ve been able to unsubscribe to several Apple tech blogs. His curated news links cut out the chaff and highlight what is worth reading.
