Summer’s Calling—So I’m Hiking More and Blogging Less

Reading Time: < 1 minute

I typically publish two blog posts each week, on Tuesday and Thursday. I’ve kept up a consistent schedule of two posts a week since last Fall.

The Mountains Are Calling

With springtime greening and Summer on its way to the Black Hills of South Dakota, where I live, I plan to do much more hiking and backpacking. After a long winter, I want to be in the mountains and take full advantage of the warmer weather.

Aging Well Means Doing What You Love (While You Can!)

Also, I’m in my early 70s. I realize that health issues and the general wear and tear on joints will likely restrict my hiking and backpacking at some point in the future. I want to take advantage of the opportunity and ability I have now.

See You Weekly (For Now)

I’m therefore reducing my blog output to one per week. I plan to return to a two-per-week schedule when it gets colder in the Fall.

Or, if I have additional topics I want to write about during the summer, I may publish two blogs in one week. Just don’t count on it.

I wish you a wonderful Summer! Enjoy life and do what you enjoy in the warmer months.
